Looking Skinny, if I do say so

(Gap top and jeans, Cooprtative scarf, Hottopic belt, Jeffrey Campbell shoes, Kate Spade bag)
Lets start off with the obligatory apologies; Ive been away for almost a week! Between house guests, grad parties, and back-to-school wardrobe planning, I haven't had a free minute! Anyways, I wore this outfit to a party last week. I wanted to showcase this obnoxiously bright pink scarf I picked up at Urban Outfitters for the basic reason that I was blinded by it when I laid eyes on it. I also love the airy gauze fabric. Paired with my favorite pants and tee shirt(which I just bought in another colorway), I finished it with heels that can be worn on solid ground or grass, which can often be a problem at grad parties. Lastly, Ive been anxious to showcase this bag. I picked up this hot piece of ass at Kate Spade's Memorial day sale; Its not typically something I would go for, but the taupe croc-embossed patent had me at hello. I also love the versatility of wearing it as a long strap bag or as a clutch for night. All for now, I need to go to work!

Pracing Outside of Chili's

(Nicole Miller Artellier jacket, Gap top, Social Collision jeans, Mea Shadow shoes, Dooney and Bourke bag, assorted leather bracelets...Urban Outfitters?}
Back to this jacket. I am so obsessed with the shape and the ingenious way that Ms. Miller has made horizontal stripes flattering. I wore this look to work with flat suede boots to work and threw on the pumps as I was getting out of my car to go to dinner with the best photographer; Summer Irving. I picked up this tee shirt when I bought multiples of my favorite black long sleeve tee shirts from Gap. I have a new theory on uniforms that will be revisited when all of the pieces arrive at my door. As for the  bag, I have always loved it, and being that my parents are living at out summer house I pilfered it for the day.
These shoes hurt like shit.....Anyways, I worked on my teen vogue inspired running and jumping short. Just a tip; don't eat first.

Acid Yellow

(Re-worked Kenneth Cole trench, Gap top, Whiting and Davis clutch, Levity shoes, crystal and chain necklace jacked from my moms closet)
So Ive had this trench since last October, and its taken me until just now to wear it. When I first bought it, I was in a rush. Only when I got home I realized that it wasn't perfect. I removed the belting on the sleeves and waist, narrowed the sleeves and shortened them as well. I would have usually had my tailor do it, but I thought, "how hard could it be?" I know this may come as a shock to some people, but sewing a garment from scratch is much easier that altering a pre-made piece. Hence the reason why it took so long to wear; Ive been working on it on and off for a few months.
One other aspect that sets this coat apart, aside from the STELLAR color is the texture. The fabric is woven with metal, so it has a natural crinkle. Paired with basics and my prom shoes, it made for the perfect outfit to grab sushi in. All for now, I need to finish my graduation thank you notes!

Graduation!

So before disclosing the obligatory "white robe" photos, id like to share a couple of new and instant favorites. I bought this bag at BCBG a few weeks ago. I instantly fell for the classic shape, croc embossed leather, versatile wearing possibilities, and double sided sequins. Obviously, the Chanel inspiration doesn't hurt either; I named this new stunner Coco. I also love that I can wear the fact that I can wear it with the long strap during the day or tuck the strap in and wear it as a clutch at night. The bracelet was a gift from my very good friend Carly; its by a brand called Denis and Charles and I haven't taken it off in almost a week.
So, graduating. I was going to wear flats, but last minute thought of how boring I would look in my white robe and threw on my Steve madden leopard wedges.
I here is Mr. I, my college counselor. Sure, he looks nice, but as this photo was being taken he was whispering how he would quietly love if I fell in me heels at any point during the procession.
This is called excitement; Ive been at the same school since fourth grade...
Patricia and I after the ceremony; ready for French food and Rose champagne!

I got an email about this picture making it into the local paper! Nothing like posing on a sink. All for now, I need to start doing my hair for tonight's dinner, happy weekend!!

Should be Rehearsin...

(vintage Levi's vest, Versace for H&M top, Jeffrey Campbell boots, Aldo cuff, Kate Spade bag)
Just a quick outfit post whilst watching the new episode of GIRLS. I wore this outfit to my graduation  rehearsal. I wasnt sure if I wanted to wear heels to walk and get my diploma, so I wore heels...and then ended up wearing heels to get my diplimoa too. I think its funny how much my mom likes this vest, she always gives me so many compliments when I have it on.
Have an awesome week, im off to get some watermelon and dark chocolate!

They're too big!

(Gap chambray shirt and shorts, Versace for H&M silk scarf, vintage Paloma Picasso bag, Perry Ellis belt, Old Navy flip flops)
So heres a quick outfit post from my weekend excursion to Disney. I am still disappointed in myself for not dressing up more; it was so unbelievably hot. I only got to wear heels once! I wore this to get Japanese food at EPCOT. I am thrilled to say that these shorts are now too big, I belted them and pushed the extra fabric to the back.Sorry for the boring outfit, graduation is tomorrow and I promise I will have better looks to share! All for now, its off to bed before getting my diploma

Damn Good Shoes

Maybe its the weather or the anticipation of my high school graduation (june 8th!!!) that has recently resulted in the best shoes Ive seen on Netaporter this year. I am currently at Disney taking a mild fashion hiatus (its a million degrees) but I wanted to share my current favorites. Above is the re-issued YSL tribute from...2008?
Obsessed with these crystal drenched Giuseppe Zanotti heel-less wedges. Extra points for an ankle strap
Lastly, the most perfect black suede ankle boot Ive ever seen. Enjoy loyal readers; try not to get too depressed
