Getting Dressed up for Fro-Yo

(French Connection denim jacket and knit, Michael Kors vest, Banana Republic clutch)
I've actually been planning to wear this vest over a denim jacket for a while. I didn't have an opportunity until the other night when I was going on a late night yogurt date with a friend. The rest of the outfit was essentially what I was already wearing. So sad to put this vest away for the season...
This is my heroine chic model pose, amazing, no? Ill be coming home in a few days and it'll be back to posts containing more words than a Twitter post

A Few New Favorites

I stunning coffee table book about the career of Edith Head
I am obsessed with Trader Joe's teryaki Turkey Jerky; it is beyond amazing. I packed a ton of it along with Lindt's sea salt dark chocolate that makes me weak at the knees.
Vintage Dooney and Bourke briefcase purse that makes me feel very, very ready to go off to college.
My friend Maddie got me this amazing bowtie made from industrial zippers that I am so excited to wear! I think I'm in Israel at this point, and I'm guessing its pretty hot.

Just a Quick Juxtaposition

Im In Poland! On an unrelated topic, I would like to point out A. this new chair my mom and I got at ArtExpo is to die for, and B. I think its hysterical that my two current favorite pairs of shoes include tasteful Italian hooker-heeled boots and Nike dunks. Go figure.

The Rest of the Outfit

(Michael Kors Mongolian Lambs fur vest, Gap shirt, Social Collisions jeans, Pelle Moda boots, vintage clutch)
So here's the rest of my half fabulous half farmer ensemble. I just bought this denim shirt to replace my other one with white buttons that the dry cleaners screwed up. I actually like this one better anyways... Fringing on Obscenity is going on a hiatus for the next two weeks, and I will be in Poland and Israel on March of the Living. I tried to be a good blogger and do times posts; check back often! See you in May!

Blouse Obsessed

Its pretty clear at this point in time to my readers that I LOVE Gap. I think its so funny that I now spend my own money at the store that I used to have to be manually dragged into when I was younger. I bought this shirt the same day I got the denim shirt I wore in my last post (I promise, pictures soon! I got sidetracked). I love this shirt so much, I just packed it for a quite trip to Chicago; I think I may wear it for an interview. I love the super large scale plaid with the contrasting collar and sleeves. The back of the shirt is also the same grey  chambray. I'm thinking of pairing it with something leather and patched denim. All for now I have a meeting in New York and then its off to Chicago!

Accessories

Went to get Turkish food last night. When I was getting dressed, I realized that my outfit looked that of a corn farmer. Nonetheless, you'll get to see the whole look soon, regardless of how farmer-like it looked. That is, how farmer like it would look without the accessories. I wore my beloved Michael Kors Mongolian Lambs fur vest, Pelle moda buckled ankle boots, and vintage acrylic clutch that desperately needs some super glue. Happy Easter, coming from celebrating passover, if anyone wants to save me some ham, please do not hesitate.

Mustard

I just got my hair done the afternoon I last posted. My hairdresser threw in a few blonde highlights; I'm glad she did it without telling me, the last time I had blonde highlights was a disaster! I call this pose, "extending a hand in readiness for falling."
(French connection shirt, Social Collision medium wash jeans, Steve Madden boots, vintage bag)
I picked up this shirt at French Connection when I was in the city a few weeks ago. I have to say that its not necessarily my favorite colorway; that being said, I bought it because its very different. I own nothing mustard, and I thought it time to add a bit of it to my wardrobe. Its also the same cut as my grey FCUK top that I wear nearly every day, so regardless of what color it is, I will undoubtedly wear it a ton. I love the mix of the mustard shirt with my leopard booties. I'm so upset that these are as painful as they are. They've gotten so little wear because I can go for about an hour before I start wincing.
I thought that this picture was so classy that it needed to be put in black and white. I'm planning on turning this shot into a greeting card. All for now, Ive gotta prep for college visits
