Shish Kebobs, of Course

(Michael Kors Mongolian fur vest, French Connection shirt, Social Collision wax jeans, Isabel Toledo boots, vintage leopard bag)
I wore this outfit last Saturday night to go to dinner with a couple of friends. I am obsessed with Turkish food, so I though there was no better time but the present to make some Middle Eastern food converts. I am known as "that guy" in groups who always does the ordering in restaurants. I really wanted to get one more wearing out of my favorite Summer shirt. It was a sad day when I had to pack it up for the winter. I thought there was not one single item in my closet that could winter-ize a garment like this vest...I've also been itching to wear it since mid July.
I went and ran with the multi-textured all black look and added my waxed jeans and patent/neoprene boots (that, again, need to be an inch higher) and this super adorable bronze leopard box clutch that literally holds a little cash, my ID, and chapstick. All for now, I am really enjoying my new red hair, it is anything but subtle. Pictures to follow!

Red Heads to Die For

My hair has been quite interesting in the past month or so. I'm starting (by starting I mean fully) getting roots and its time to re-color my mane. Although I started out my journey with dark auburns, Ive come to the conclusion that if I'm going to go red, I should just do it. I am now mentally prepared for a full burst of fiery copper laced with gold and fabulousity. I am fully obsessed with Coco Rocha, not only as a model, but her vibrant red locks are amazing.
Emma Stone's hair is stunning, I think a bit dark for what I'm going or, but I imagine the brighter colors would resemble this shade when they fade.
I have always loved Julianne Moore's hair. She has always been my consummate redhead.
I think Marcia Cross's color most resembles the shade I'm after. The color looks so alive; this color will look stellar with my mostly black and grey wardrobe.

Last but not least, one of my favorite bloggers Jane Aldridge. I loved watching her slow transition into her bright red locks. Although hers was backwards from mine, blonde to red, I like to know that I'm not the only one who had a hard time taking the plunge. All for now, wish me luck on my hair appointment tomorrow afternoon.

I Totally Needed Another Pair

(Michael Kors leather bomber, H&M shirt, Gap shorts, Perry Ellis belt, BCBG clutch, Aldo shoes)
Just a quick outfit post tonight in between figuring out the perfect pattern for jersey briefs and Pre-Calculus homework. I wore this outfit over the weekend to run errands with Simona. I loved my red Gap shorts so much that I had to go back and get them in black, even if its almost November. I planned this outfit around the shorts, knowing that it was probably going to be the last warm day for a while. I am more and more in love with this jacket every time I wear it, the leather is beyond incredible, and I am so unbelievably happy with this purchase. These shoes completely wrecked my feet; I was so excited to go home and put on heels! All for now, lets hope for a short week.

In an Enchanted Forest

(Oliver Perry sweater coat, Surrell Mongolian Lamb collar, Theory Vest, H&M top, Forever 21 necklace, Banana Republic bag, Aldo brogues)
I wore this outfit yesterday to school. It was homecoming, and everyone was supposed to wear green and white. I am such a rebel.
I really loved the multiple layers and textures of black; I would love to wear this in the winter again if I get a job at a fashion company or something. With all the layers, this outfit had many, many reincarnations through out the day; layered outfits are the absolute best for quick changes. Sorry for the short post, I'm getting ready to go to dinner at my favorite Turkish restaurant with Simona and Summer. Have a good weekend!

Moaning For Yummy Knits

GAAA drowning in Pre-Calculus! Sorry for the lack of posting; this is literally the first time I've been seated for more than five minutes since mid-Sunday.
(Vintage Levi's vest, DKNY sweater, FCUK shirt, Jeffrey Campbell boots, Banana Republic bag)
I wore this out last Saturday night to go to dinner with Simona, or my unofficial Girlfriend..haha, see whatIi did there? By girlfriend I mean soul mate, aka, shopping and restaurant buddy. I have been waiting to wear this sweater since August. I laid eyes in it and knew that I HAD to have it. It is so unbelievably beautiful, and with the length, you can do so many things with it. I love it under this vest, better yet, it look banging under my leather biker jacket (which I left at the hair salon).
I love the short/long/soft/hard feeling of this outfit. No doubt, this look needed height, bolstered by my highest shoes, I think this is a really good casual night out outfit. Worn with an awesomely light nylon bag that has not been changed out since Saturday. The chain strap broke, but frankly I much prefer it as a clutch.
I went apple picking..haha I know, right? We got Mutsu apples that would sufficiently full that Miu Miu bag to the brim. Still dreaming of its impracticality...

Take That Labor day!

(Ben Sherman jacket, Gap top, Social Collision jeans, Nike belt, Sam Edelman boots, BCBG clutch)
I wore this out last night to grab dinner with a few friends. I was waiting to wear these jeans until after labor day, because, you know I'm such a rebel. I bleached these twice for an hour each time; they are amazing. They feel just like pajama pants. I stocked up on these Gap tee shirts the other week. They are made of the most amazing heavy jersey, and I love the rolled, open neck. I have been wearing them like crazy. Ive been staying up late at night thinking of ways to wear this jacket, it is amazing and definitely needs to get out more often.
Paired with my first and favorite pairs of ankle boots and the mildly stolen clutch from my Patricia's closet. All for now, I'm going to go get ready to go out!

Mild Theft

How amazing is this bag? My mom just bought this layered leather clutch from BCBG, and I had to take it for a spin; I am going to get so much wear out of this bag! I just woke up from a nap, Ill post the rest of my outfit from tonight when I'm not half asleep. Nothing like the first candy corn of the year, have a good weekend!

Cake and Heels

{Gap jacket, French Connection top, Mea Shadow shoes, vintage bag}
I wore this last night on a dessert date with Maddie. I had been itching to go out; after Yom Kippur and tons of school work, I was stoked to put on heels and go out. I love these shoes, no matter how much they hurt! I tied them to my feel in a pseudo ankle strap with a shoelace; its amazing how much better shoes feel when they are fully secured to your feet. I bought this jacket a few weeks ago and I haven't taken it off. It feels like a sweatshirt, but looks infinitely more chic. I would buy it in ten more colors, sadly, I got the last one. All for now, I have so much work to catch up on. Happy Columbus day!

Because I play so many sports

I recently found myself in dire need of a belt. Whilst shopping, I stumbled upon this belt by Nike. I couldn't believe it, but it was the best one I saw and I left the store with it. Thankfully, the Nike sign is covered by the tail. I love the grained black leather, and it reverses to white. I though this was a fun change to the brown reverse that most changeable belts have.
My friend Margot bought me this Marc Jacobs Sharpie. I love Marc; the amount of paraphernalia that is in all of the stores is hysterical. So many people will buy anything as long as it says Marc Jacobs. All for now, have an easy fast!
P.S. I literally peed myself when I watched this

Legitimately Impractical

I am currently obsessed with Miu Miu's over-oversized clutches. I like the complete impracticality factor of an enormous bag pretending to be a clutch. I am pretty sure this bag would double as a book bag, it would also fit a Turkey large enough for a moderately hungry family of eight.
The bag comes with a strap, but everyone knows that wearing this bag with the strap would mean sheer failure. I want it so badly! I'm going to keep my eyes peeled for any huge clutches...I could also put a hole in a neck pillow and get a similar look, all food for thought. All for now, I'm going to continue lusting while doing my Human Sexuality homework.

Hematite

    {FC trench, Gap chambray shirt, vintage Hematite necklace, Aldo penny loafers, vintage clutch}
Happy new Year! I wore this on Thursday after services for Rosh Hashannah to meet some friends for the Urban Outfitters sale. I bought this shirt when I got the red shorts that I wore last week at Gap; I was depressed after my favorite vintage denim shirt ripped in an unfortunate clothing sample and rolling rack incident whilst working at French Connection this past summer. This shirt is made of the most lovely, lightweight cotton, and the white snap buttons are so beautiful. I've been wearing it buttoned up all the way to show them off. I am happy to say that my loafers are finally broken in, I've been wearing them nonstop for the past couple weeks. The necklace was a gift from my Grandma. The beading tassel jingles when you walk, a truly amazing piece.
I left the sale empty handed. The above picture shows that not all patterned skinny pants are good; we all got a good laugh that day. All for now, I'm crazy busy prepping for a day in the city tomorrow!
