Floral Trousers...NBD

Ive had these floral satin pants for a couple of months. I bought them a size too small, and 8, and they finally fit! I loved the loud print on such a somber and sleek pair on pants. I found them at Macys at the beginning of December and I had to have them! There was a matching jacket but it was sold out in my size. Ive been dreaming of finding a black floral suit for while.
(DNKY quilter leather jacket, Bar III trousers, Banana Republic sweater, Pelle Moda boots, crystal and chain necklace)
Obviously, pants like these need an all black background, and nothing fits the bill like my favorite leather jacket and a black sweater. My mom gifted me the necklace before I left to come back to school from winter break and I love the substantial crystals and dripping chains; definitley a statement piece that also looks incredible with a plain tee shirt and jeans. I cant wait to find a few more pairs of printed pants maybe in a lighter color for the summer! Have a great week, I need to go to the gym and ger my homework done!!!!

Birthday Presents!!!!

Ok, so its been a week since my Birthday, but this past Thursday, I shared a really memorable experience with my friend Emma. I was extremely pleased to find out that this year my Birthday collided with Ikram's semi annual sale. I decided that Ikram, with its famous Vogue stock lists, would be the perfect place to find myself a little something special. The picture above was taken in their lovely cafe where Emma and I shared Cappuchinos and cookies after an unforgettable shopping experience
I chose this adorable top by Viktor and Rolf Monsieur top. I love the glasses print and heavy, heavy, cotton jersey. The best part is the perfect fit, a fit so perfect that I can't gain a single pound, which frankly is the way I want all of my clothes to fit.
I paired it with all black and the beautiful, beautiful Jeffrey Campbell heel-less boots that my wonderful boyfriend got me for my Birthday. Ive worn them out every weekend since he gave them to me, they are legitimately some of the most comfortable heels in my closet right now. I'm also a sucker for grey leopard print!
Just a quick outfit captured on Thursday before heading to the Ikram sale, wearing a vintage necklace, Banana Republic sweater, BCBG blazer, and Michael Kors fur. Have an awesome weekend, I'm off to the aquarium with my boyfriend for the day!

Birthday Suit Volume I

This year for my birthday, I decided to focus on jackets (taking a note from Suzy Orman) for my two celebration dinners. Last weekend I went out with my best friends to celebrate my birthday and my roommate Emma's birthday. She looked amazing in an Elizabeth and James silk blouse and Henri Bendel necklace. Emma is the queen of wearing white, whereas I am well aware the if i were to put on anything lighter than heather grey I would instantly spill tomato sauce, diet coke, or red wine on it.
(BCBG Jacket, H&M button down, Rude vintage wash jeans, Steve Madden Vippper boots)
I found this jacket on my last hurrah shopping trip with my mom right before I left to go back to Chicago. This jacket was the first thing I saw in the store and immediately fell for it. I love the built shoulders, crisp black lapels, and the subtle feather print. I couldn't be happier with the cut and fit. I wore it again yesterday to my fashion class with a tee shirt and Nike high tops; its an amazingly versatile piece. I've been living in this one pair of jeans, I haven't been able to find a really nice pair of vintage wash jeans in a while, and I love the low rise and fit of this pair as well as the beautiful wash. By the way, these boots still hurt like a motherfucker. All for now, have an awesome weekend and stay tuned for a few more obligatory birthday posts!

#BestOutfit

Last outfit with brown hair, I promise! This was my favortite outfit from Thanksgiving break, and I am more than madly obsessed with each indivudual piece
(DKNY leather jacket, Banana Republic sweater, Tripp nyc jeans, BCBG purse, Pelle Moda boots, Kensie Necklace)
I bought this leather jacket on parents weekend and literally havent taken it off since. I love the buttery lambskin, quilted collar, and ribbed panels. It is seriously the perfect leather jacket, and some of the best money Ive ever spent. I stocked up on merino wool sweaters at Banana Republic and have been living in them, they are so yummy and warm yet extremly lightweight. The jeans where purchased at Urban Outfitters surplus store, and although they took me like two months to wear, I have been more than making up for lost time.

I loved the jeans when I bought them, but after taking a jean ripper to the inside of the bottoms, my obsession with these jeans became instantaniously hightened. On another note, coming home from college is a great excuse to get use out of under appreciated accessories, like the sequin bag of my dreams and my 18th birthday boots.
I bought this necklace for my mom for her 60th birthday, I shipped it to her in October and couldnt wait to borrow it!
I couldnt resist taking a picture of it in the window at Macy's! Have a great weekend!!!

...Sorry

So its been a little while, sorry all!!! Between Thanksgiving break, Finals, and getting back to my job at The Dressing Room, blogging was just too much! With a push from my boyfriend, it feels great to be back to the blog!!! I wore this outfit comprised of favorites to go to my favorite French restaurant in Chicago called Bostronomic....back when my hair was brown! Ive recently gone platinum
(Vintage Andrew Marc fox collar and necklace, BCBG blazer, Social Collision jeans, French Connection wooden clutch, TopShop wedges, and of course a Perrier)
I have been living in this jacket since I bought it at the end of last summer. Sadly, its now a little big and looks terrible buttoned up, I wore it open for the first time yesterday. I got this wooden bag a while ago, and wore it for the first time to a family event, being that my family is in the lumber business, and realized how awesome it it. I wear it all the time on the weekends at school. I had a serious obsession with sneaker wedges and bought these at fashions night out and love them so much! Unfortunately they're not nearly as comfortable as I thought they would be, and I currently have a pretty gnarly blister from them on my left foot. This semester Ive fallen hard for black, in fact black, grey, and leopard print are all that's left in my wardrobe, and I couldn't be happier. Stay tuned for blond pics and have a restful Sunday night!

Favorite Purse

I'm so happy to finally post these pictures, Brendon and I took these a few weeks ago when we went out with a few friends to some gallery openings. I am also super excited to finally share my "going to college" gift to myself which is the brown croc print Rebecca Minkoff bag I'm wearing in these pictures. I fell madly in love with the rich texture of the leather, the studded bottom, and the versatility to wear the bag as a crossbody, shoulder, or clutch bag.
(Gap leather jacket, vintage Andrew Marc fox collar, Saint James top, Social Collision jeans, Ecote boots, Rebecca Minkoff bag)
Beyond my adoration for my bag, I also would like to say how excited I am to share that I finally took the plunge and purchased a Saint James top. The quality and cut is fantastic; I love the thickness of the cotton and Its a piece that after owning one, I feel compelled to start a collection. I have been wearing it nonstop, only to be punctuated by getting it back from the dry cleaner. Sadly, because of many, many long nights our (especially the one pictured above) my beloved Ecote boots have taken quite a beating. I took them to my favorite shoe repair in Connecticut, and hopefully he can work some magic.
Hope everyone has a very happy Thanksgiving, or as I like to call it, the meal in which we all eat in order to fuel up for the madness of black Friday!

Sorry Daddy..

But I couldn't resist the Maison Martin Margiela opening for H&M. It was so crazy to see the differences between this opening in Chicago versus the Versace opening in NYC. I went at 1 in the afternoon and everything was still there and they even did away with the buying restrictions! I was very, very impressed with the collection, but was a little turned off by the prices, knowing what I now know about the collaboration collections. I bypassed the pricier items that I loved but knew I could only wear once, like the leather belt or leather deconstructed jackets and oversized coats and settled on a few pieces I knew I would still buy even if they were MMM for H&M. I settled on two tops for myself and a top and leggings for my mom, pictures to follow! Have a good Sunday, I need to catch up on computer HW
